HRIS: Connecting Officient to Sastrify Print
Modified on: Tue, 17 Feb, 2026 at 4:10 PM
Integrating Officient (HRIS) with Sastrify automates the flow of organizational data by importing employee information directly into the platform. This enriches the foundational data from your Identity Provider and enhances user identities with contextual details such as department and cost center.
Requirements:
IdP Dependency: You must have an active Identity Provider (Google, Entra, or Okta) connected to Sastrify first. The IdP serves as the "source of truth" that HRIS data enriches.
Admin Access: You need Admin permissions in both Sastrify and your HRIS platform.
Step-by-Step Connection Guide
Phase 1: Initiate in Sastrify
- Navigate to Integrations > HRIS.
Locate the Officient card and click Manage.
Click Add New Connection, enter a name (e.g., "Officient HR"), and click the checkmark to confirm.
Click Connect to open the setup window and select Continue.
Phase 2: Generate Officient API Credentials
- Log into your Officient account as an Admin.
- Click your Avatar in the top right-hand corner and select Developers.

Click Register a new app.
- Important: Set Permissions. Ensure the app is granted the following four permissions:
basics:readpersonal.info:readcalendar:readmanagers:read
Generate Access Token: Set the expiration time to the longest available option (e.g., 5 years) to ensure a stable connection.

Copy the generated Access Token.
Phase 3: Finalize the Connection
Return to the Sastrify setup window.
- Paste your Officient Access Token into the designated field.
Click Set up integration.

Where to Find Your Data
Once the connection is active and the initial sync completes:
Teams & Departments: Your status will appear as “Connected” on the Integrations page, and employee, department, and cost center data will begin populating their respective tabs.

Identity Enrichment: Once an IdP is connected, Navigate to Integrations > Identity Provider. Sastrify will automatically match Officient records to identities, enriching them with job titles and department data.
