The Building Blocks
The Overview page is the first screen you’ll see upon logging into your Sastrify platform, and you can also access it anytime from the 'Overview' option in the left-hand menu. It features five key widgets, each with a specific purpose:
- Subscription Status Breakdown
- Tool - Spend Chart
- Overall Spend
- Renewal Calendar
- Quick Links for New Purchases
Together, these widgets offer a comprehensive view of your SaaS stack, keeping you up-to-date on ongoing activities and providing quick access to relevant actions.
Subscription Status Breakdown
This widget provides an overview of the total number of subscriptions, accompanied by a detailed breakdown based on their status: Active, In Evaluation, Up for Renewal, Expired, and Discovered.
With this widget, you can:
- See the total count of your subscriptions and easily spot which ones need immediate attention, such as those up for renewal or expired.
- Click on any status to view a filtered list of tools in that specific status, making it easy to take action on items requiring attention.
- This functionality helps you maintain the accuracy of your stack and stay organized, ensuring you're always on top of your tool inventory.
Pro tips:
- For "Expired" Subscriptions: Click the link to review expired tools. Determine if they’re still in use or inactive and adjust their status accordingly to keep your stack accurate. Learn how to do it here.
- For "Discovered" Subscriptions: Review newly discovered tools from integrations and update their status to "In Use" if they’re active in your stack. Regular checks help maintain an up-to-date inventory. Learn how to do it here.
Tool - Spend Chart
This widget displays the tools with the highest Year to Date (YTD) spending, helping you prioritize budget allocation and strategic planning. By hovering over a specific bar in the chart, you can view details such as spend amount, tool owner, and renewal date. This offers a clear visual of your top spend areas, assisting in more informed decision-making.
Overall Spend
This widget displays your total spend for both the current and previous year, along with the savings achieved through Sastrify. It provides a snapshot of your SaaS spending trends and allows for year-over-year comparisons.
To ensure accuracy, keep your spend data up to date by:
- Utilizing Integrations: Connect to ERP/Accounting integrations for automatic data syncing.
- Uploading Exports/Invoices: Regularly upload accounting exports or invoices if your accounting software isn't integrated.
Renewal Calendar
The renewal calendar provides a comprehensive view of upcoming subscription renewals, both in list and visual timeline formats, helping you plan ahead.
With this widget, you can:
- Get an Overview: See all upcoming renewals, with an option to filter by "My Tools Only."
- View Future Renewals: Scroll through upcoming months or use the date adjuster for timeline navigation.
- Interact with Items: Hover over renewals to access tool details, initiate renewals, or review procurement initiatives.
Quick Links for New Purchases
At the bottom, you'll find a block featuring quick links to two essential features within Sastrify that support new purchases.
- The first link takes you to the Tool Catalogue, a comprehensive SaaS database with over 20,000 tools. It helps you explore market offerings, identify tools in your stack, and reduce redundancy. You can also discover tools in SastriMarket.
- The second link leads to the Initiative page, where you can organize and initiate SaaS procurement efforts efficiently. It ensures a structured and effective buying process.
